Nice Tea
September 12, 2020
This is a nice tea. It has a light feel with floral overtones. It is great as an after dinner or evening tea. A nice addition to add variety.

Very Smooth
July 31, 2020
Very smooth texture and flavor but I always make sure not to steep for too long. It tends to get bitter for me very fast.

It has quite a bitter bite to it if you let it steep too long but if you only steep for a minute or two, it has a nice flavor.

If I don't have a cup of this tea every day my day is incomplete. I love this tea. I won't share this tea. I have dedicated a clay teapot just for this tea.

I chose this as a free samole with my order and an vry happy that I did. It is a very nice, sweet, fresh tasting oolong. Never bitter or "bitey".

Delicious and aromatic
June 14, 2014
I drink this tea everyday. It is delicious and aromatic. It has almost a Chinese restaurant flavor but is more flowery. I love drinking my tea. I also suggest a clay teapot, as this keeps the tea hot and flavorful. Enjoy!

Wake-up with oolong!

Intense, with a depth of flavor, buttery and strong. Just the right amount of caffeine for morning, will not make you jittery, but gives you a nice lift. Very nice.

It is easy to prepare and tastes good. I have only been using it for two weeks so I cannot add anything more, at this time.

One of my favorites
March 31, 2013
Yes this is one of my favorites, for many reasons. First, you can get two or three cups out of one serving of loose leaves. Second, if you don't make it too strong it have a floral note to it. Third, this tea is good with or without sugar. I typically steep the first serving of tea at only 180 degrees, for about 2 minutes. The second cup at 200 degrees for 2 minutes, and the third cup at 200 or 205 degrees for 5 minutes. This is a good tea to drink with your food because if its high steep temperature and its taste.

Smooth oolong

I drink this smooth and fragrant oolong in the afternoon. Add a little sweetner and it's like a little cup of dessert and no bitter aftertaste.

Mildly flavored, very clean Oolong at a good price
July 20, 2012
I got the 1 lb bag which came promptly. The bag is moisture-resistant and resealable. Labeling is clear and includes directions. This tea is very uniform and clean in the package. It unfurls to large leaves with a few small twigs and little powder. The beverage color is light greenish tan. Aroma is very mild. Not very flavorful, IMO. Like any Oolong, you can save the leaves after steeping and reuse.

Nice pick-me-up
April 9, 2012
I love this tea, in fact, it's kinda entered "can't live without it" territory. I have it in the morning and I find it offers a stronger pick-me-up than the white teas and jasmines that I am partial to. It gives me just the right amount of energy and has a good strong taste.

This was a free sample tea that I received, and I will definitely be purchasing more of it. It is my new favorite tea. The description of the tea is exactly right. And yes, it is really good chilled, too.

Plesantly surprised
January 2, 2012
Well I tried this tea for the first time tonight. In the past the oolongs that I tried were not impressive and tasted like hay. This is the first oolong I've tried from enjoyingtea and i was pleasantly surprised. I steeped it at 190 degrees for four minutes. It was great and has made me want to try other oolongs. Unlike the last reviewer though I feel that this oolong [did] have a floral note to it. It was hardly overwhelming and probably not even noticeable without sugar (i use raw, unrefined sugar in my tea). I agree that this read does have a certain nuttiness though, reminiscent of yunnan emerald buds (green tea). I will try using the same leaves multiple times tomorrow to see how the resulting cups of tea turn out. Bottom line: This is a great tea at a great price. Not overly strong and not bitter if brewed at or below the recommended temperature. Also there is a floral note to this tea, but it is easily missed by those who either do not sweeten their tea or by those who drink tea soon after eating/drinking.

Surprising
February 26, 2011
I wasn't too impressed with this tea at first, then I used my small gaiwan and added a good amount of tea. This tea takes a while to open up (the 4th and 5th infusions being the best), but open up it did! I was pleasantly surprised. It has a nutty, earthy taste that is complex and has a good mouth feel and aftertaste. No floral notes here, just earthy and somewhat astringent. Beware, this tea packs a caffeine walllop after a few infusions.

A Robust Oolong
August 21, 2010
I got this tea in the chinese tea sampler and was blown away by the taste and aroma. I usually stick to Green Oolongs but this more oxidized oolong is a wonderful treate to the palate. It has a lovely roasted flavor that ties in nicely with its heavenly aroma. I will definitely purchase for my collection.

Almost like a light gunpowder green tea
January 19, 2010
This tea brews clear, with a smoky aroma. It reminds me a lot of the gunpowder green teas, but much lighter in flavor and color.
